As an organization, we were quite successful in this tournament with 10 final four finishes!!! In the state tournament, our Midget Minor (AA), Bantam CS Major (AA), Squirt CS (AA), Squirt Gold (A) took 2nd place, all in close one goal games. The Peewee CS Major (AA), Peewee CS Minor (A), Squirt NIHL Silver (B), Mite NIHL Elite (AA), Mite NIHL Silver (A) teams completed the year with solid 3rd place finishes. The Midget Majors ended the year with a 4th place finish! Again, congratulations to all! - posted on 03-11-08 Congrats Peewee Central States Minor Team The PeeWee Minor Central States team went undefeated in the Central States playoffs this weekend in St. Louis to advance to the championship game, versing Affton. It was a hard fought game, with the Blues leading for most of it. Affton battled hard, tied it up and then took the lead with five minutes remaining. The coaches and boys never gave up and rallied to tie the game with 28 seconds remaining and then scored the game winning goal with 4.3 seconds left to win the Central States League title. The Bantam Silver team battled various opponents to win the Wisconsin Dells Waterpark Classic Tournament this past weekend. CONGRATULATIONS BLUES BANTAM SILVER TEAM! - posted on 01-28-08 Peewee Elite Wins Silver Sticks Regional Title The Peewee Elite team ran the table, going 5-0, to win the Silver Sticks Chicago Regional for the Peewee A Division. They won the Championship game in overtime, beating the Leafs 3-2 in thrilling fashion. The Leafs tied the game with a mere 13.4 seconds left in regulation. The Blues, undaunted, saw Chris Smith bury the game winning goal in overtime, with assists from Santino Salamone and Tanner Obal, less than one minute into the overtime session. During the tournament, the entire team contributed both on and off the scoresheet, beating the Sabres and Leafs Elite teams, as well as the Huskies minor Central States team during their run to the title. The Peewee Elite team will be playing in the Silver Sticks Finals in late January, in lovely Port Huron, Michigan. - posted on 12-30-07 Congratulations Bantam Central States team The Bantam Central States team battled various opponents to get into the finals of the 2007 Falcons Turkey Time Tournament. There, they defeated the Chargers, a tough opponent, in a close game. The Blues scored with 50 seconds left on the clock to win the championship 3 - 2.
