The Chicago Blues Hockey Club is a Tier II travel hockey organization that fields multiple teams at every age level from Mites (age 6) to Midget Minor (up to age 15). Our philosophy utilizes on-ice and off-ice training techniques to develop strong work ethic, dedication, team spirit, sportsmanship and good character on and off the ice. High-quality instruction of fundamental skills includes skating, shooting and stickhandling within a team environment.
The Chicago Blues compete in the Central States Development Hockey League (CSDHL) and the Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL). Each year beginning as early as August 15th, the Chicago Blues holds tryouts at each age division (Mite, Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget) for our CSDHL and NIHL teams.
Each Chicago Blues Hockey Club team is assigned a full-time professional hockey director to conduct all practices and skills sessions and to be on the bench for the vast majority of games. The team director works in concert with the head coach to ensure that every player in our program has an outstanding hockey experience.
The club also benefits by calling the Edge Ice Arena and the Redmond Park Complex our home.
