Congratulations Coach Todd Finner – 2025 Illinois Hockey Hall of Fame Inductee
The Chicago Blues proudly congratulates former Hockey Director Todd Finner on his induction into the 2025 class of the Illinois Hockey Hall of Fame.
Todd has been a cornerstone of Chicago hockey for over three decades, bringing his experience, energy, and heart to nearly every rink in the area. His coaching journey spans more than 30 years at the Tier I and Tier II levels, serving as Hockey Director and coach for multiple organizations throughout the state of Illinois.
Coach Finner joined the Chicago Blues organization in the year 2000, and led teams to multiple AA State Championships while mentoring hundreds of young players—teaching them not only how to win on the ice but how to carry themselves with integrity, resilience, humor, and teamwork off it. His retirement from coaching after the 2024-2025 season left some big skates to fill, and a legacy that looms large.
Coach Finner, that legacy will continue to echo every time a Blues player laces up their skates. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor, and thank you for more than 30 years of dedication to the Chicago Blues and Illinois hockey.
