Midget Minors finish second at USA Nationals

FRISCO, Texas - The Chicago Blues Midget Minors capped off a terrific 2016-17 season with a second-place finish at the USA Hockey 3-A Nationals. The Blues advanced to the championship game Monday afternoon where they lost 3-0 to the Oakland (MI) Junior Grizzlies at the Dr. Pepper Center.

Congratulations to the team on a memorable season, which also included a CSDHL playoff title and several weeks as the nation's top-ranked team, according to MyHockeyRankings.com

The Blues defeated the Armstrong (PA) Arrows 8-1 in the semifinals and shut out the Southern Connecticut Stars 4-0 in the quarterfinals. The Blues also bested the New Jersey Penguins 6-2, South Shore (MA) Kings 4-2 and Foothills (CO) Flyers 7-2 in round-robin play. Click HERE to access the official tournament site.

And so ends the 20th anniversary season of the Chicago Blues Hockey Club, fittingly on the last day of the youth hockey season. Here's to the next 20 years!
